Getting yourself job ready

If you have been out of the workplace for a period of time you may need to spend some time preparing yourself to apply for new vacancies. With the competition for jobs still particularly high, you will need to be at the top of your game to land that position that you want.

This all starts with your CV and cover letter. This is often the first impression a potential employer will have of you so you need to make sure that all the information is correct, relevant and there are no spelling or grammatical errors.

When it comes to interviews, dress to impress. You should always present yourself smartly and make sure that you are punctual. Someone that turns up late for an interview will often lose the job based on that alone. Be clear and concise and be sure to promote your skills and experience that are relevant to the position you are applying for.
