Attracting the Right Candidates for a Position

As an employer, one of your biggest challenges will inevitably be finding the right staff. They can help you boost your business and get better clients, ultimately making you more money. So how do you attract the right candidates into your roles?

  1. Use a well-known recruiter. Quality candidates use good recruiters, so they can give you access to lots of talent.
  2. Be honest. Explain the role clearly and make sure you are completely honest and open about what it entails. You can only achieve good staff retention if your roles meet your staff members’ expectations.
  3. Place ads on popular platforms. There are lots of job boards out there and people actively seeking jobs use them. This ensures your ads will be seen.
  4. Be realistic. If you advertise a junior position with a salary of £18,000, junior people are going to apply. Don’t expect qualified experienced people to apply – unless what you are offering is truly tempting for them.
